Vibroacoustic therapy Australian custom designed waterbeds

Vibroacoustic Waterbed Byron Bay region custom made

Imagine your whole body tingling as you feel water vibrating underneath you… We have invented and developed a unique design and system for delivering vibration to water as far I’m aware from my research. The waterbed, uses a number of different methods and techniques including 6 vibrating transducers built-in to bring optimum experience in the sensory realms.

After researching VAT vibroacoustic Therapy extensively over the last year, and witnessing a large number of people experiencing great results. Either finding peace of mind, body relaxing, pain reduction, sleeping normally after years not, and feelings of awe in amazement! More energy and overall better health. We have created a number of different types of vibroacoustic beds, massage tables and now the ultimate choice a waterbed which vibrates.

A typical session would includes a few questions about your well-being and how you would like to improve in any areas. Choosing the appropriate tracks and frequencies to assist in your intentions. Selected from 74 programs developed by Dr’s for all kinds of therapy.

Generally we activate the parasympathetic nervous system through breathing techniques and making sounds with your voice (the oldest form of sound healing) to reduce stress and go into rest and digest. From mind to body awareness and stimulating senses to create a shift in awareness. Then brain entrainment into Alpha, theta, delta and gamma waves usually.

Olav Skille, the inventor of Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT), emphasized the significance of the 40 Hz frequency due to its profound impact on the human body and mind.

Some of the feedback and results include, a dear elderly friends pain was gone after 30mins session.

My God daughter stopped crying in 3 seconds

A friend who hadn’t slept properly for 10 years is now sleeping normally after 3 sessions and talking about lifestyle and health.

“You took me to heaven” feedback from a very enthusiastic friend.

Last two sessions responded..

“This is the future”

“I feel so relaxed and tension gone”

Here’s an example of a potential bed design… (all images are possible examples of what we could build for you with the right budget). The future in relaxation and wellness

Vibroacoustic Therapy – A Physiological Perspective

Vibroacoustic therapy utilises low-frequency sound waves delivered via tactile vibrations to stimulate the body’s sensory pathways. These vibrations target mechanoreceptors along the spine, the brainstem, and throughout the peripheral nervous system, triggering a range of physiological responses. The body’s neurophysiological reaction to these stimuli can induce a parasympathetic state, facilitating deep relaxation.

This process promotes the release of neurochemicals, including dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin, which are associated with mood regulation, emotional well-being, and a sense of connectedness. Dopamine enhances feelings of reward and pleasure, while serotonin contributes to a sense of calm and emotional stability. Oxytocin, often referred to as the ‘love hormone,’ fosters emotional bonding and reduces stress levels.

In addition to its mood-enhancing effects, vibroacoustic therapy induces physical changes that support healing. The application of vibration stimulates vasodilation, enhancing blood circulation and nutrient delivery to tissues. Furthermore, the activation of the lymphatic system promotes fluid drainage, which assists in detoxification and supports the body’s natural immune responses. Together, these effects contribute to the body’s innate healing capacity, improving both physical and mental well-being.

Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) offers a wide range of benefits, thanks to the way sound frequencies and vibrations interact with the body and mind. Specially when through water as it transmute frequencies around 5 times more effectively than wood or other materials.

Here are some of the most widely recognized benefits of this therapeutic approach:

1. Stress Reduction and Relaxation

  • Calming Effect: The soothing vibrations can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps the body relax and recover. This makes it effective for reducing anxiety and stress.
  • Lower Cortisol Levels: Studies suggest that vibroacoustic therapy can lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress, thus promoting a sense of calm and well-being.

2. Pain Relief

  • Chronic Pain Management: By targeting specific areas of the body with low-frequency vibrations, VAT can help alleviate pain, reduce muscle tension, and promote blood flow, making it beneficial for conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and back pain.
  • Endorphin Release: The therapy stimulates the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers, which help reduce pain perception and enhance mood.

3. Improved Sleep Quality

  • Promotes Deep Sleep: Vibroacoustic therapy helps with relaxation and balancing brainwave activity, making it easier to fall into deeper, more restorative stages of sleep.
  • Alleviates Sleep Disorders: Many individuals with insomnia or other sleep disorders have reported improvements in sleep after using VAT, as it promotes relaxation and calming of the nervous system.

4. Enhanced Mental Clarity and Emotional Balance

  • Brainwave Synchronization: Vibroacoustic therapy can help synchronize brainwave patterns (e.g., through binaural beats or specific frequencies), which may enhance mental clarity, focus, and emotional stability.
  • Emotional Release: The therapy can help individuals process and release stored emotional tension, which may be contributing to mental    health challenges like anxiety or depression.

5. Improved Circulation and Muscle Relaxation

  • Better Blood Flow: The vibrations can stimulate circulation, allowing for better oxygenation of tissues and promoting healing in injured or inflamed areas.
  • Muscle Tension Relief: By encouraging deep muscle relaxation, VAT can help reduce muscle spasms, tension, and stiffness.

6. Cellular Repair and Regeneration

  • Stimulates Healing: Certain frequencies are thought to stimulate cellular regeneration, which may support healing from injuries and chronic conditions by improving cellular function and tissue repair.
  • DNA Repair (via Solfeggio Frequencies): Some studies suggest that specific sound frequencies, like those in the Solfeggio scale (e.g., 528 Hz), can promote DNA repair, though this remains an area of ongoing research.

7. Enhanced Energy and Vitality

  • Chakra and Energy Balancing: Vibroacoustic therapy is sometimes used in energy healing practices to balance the chakras (energy centers in the body), which can improve overall vitality and emotional health.
  • Grounding: The vibrations can help individuals feel more grounded and connected, reducing feelings of anxiety or disconnection.

8. Better Focus and Cognitive Function

  • Cognitive Benefits: The therapy has been found to help improve focus, concentration, and cognitive performance in some individuals, especially when brainwave frequencies like Alpha waves (8-14 Hz) are used.

9. Aid in Rehabilitation and Recovery

  • Post-Surgery or Injury Recovery: Because vibroacoustic therapy promotes blood circulation and reduces muscle tension, it can be an effective tool in physical rehabilitation, helping individuals recover from surgery, trauma, or injury faster.

10. Non-Invasive and Drug-Free

  • Alternative to Medications: Vibroacoustic therapy provides a non-invasive, drug-free option for those seeking relief from pain, stress, and other conditions. It can be especially appealing to individuals who want to avoid pharmaceutical treatments.

11. Enhanced Creativity and Spiritual Connection

  • Creative Inspiration: The calming and stimulating effects of sound frequencies can sometimes unlock creative potential or encourage deep states of introspection and inspiration.
  • Spiritual Awareness: Many people have reported a heightened spiritual awareness and a sense of connection to their body and mind in harmony. Heartfelt inner selves or the universe after experiencing VAT.

Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) uses sound vibrations to promote relaxation, reduce pain, and improve emotional well-being. The most beneficial VAT tracks typically combine specific sound frequencies with vibrational energy to influence different aspects of health, such as stress reduction, pain relief, or emotional balance.

Designed to deliver therapeutic sound frequencies directly to the body. These beds incorporate speakers or transducers that convert audio signals into vibrations, which are then transmitted through the bed and into the body. This form of therapy combines sound waves and physical vibrations to promote relaxation, reduce stress, alleviate pain, and improve overall well-being.

Here are some key elements that are generally considered beneficial for vibroacoustic therapy tracks:

  1. Low Frequencies (20-80 Hz): These are often used for deep relaxation and stress relief, as low-frequency vibrations are felt more in the body, providing a calming, grounding effect. These frequencies may also help with muscle relaxation and improving circulation.
  2. Theta Waves (4-8 Hz): Theta brainwaves are associated with deep relaxation, meditation, and creativity. Tracks with theta frequencies can help the listener enter a deeply relaxed or meditative state, making them good for stress relief and emotional regulation.
  3. Binaural Beats: These can help synchronize brainwave patterns. For example, using binaural beats with frequencies like Delta (0.5-4 Hz) or Alpha (8-14 Hz) can promote deep sleep, relaxation, or mental clarity, respectively.
  4. Solfeggio Frequencies: Ancient solfeggio frequencies (such as 396 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz) are thought to be particularly beneficial for emotional healing, DNA repair, and spiritual growth. These frequencies can have a soothing effect on the mind and body.
  5. Nature Sounds with Harmonics: Adding gentle nature sounds (like rainfall, waves, or birdsong) combined with harmonic sound frequencies can enhance the healing process by promoting a peaceful and restorative environment.
  6. Chakra Frequencies: Tracks designed to balance and align the body’s energy centers (chakras) can be effective for both physical and emotional well-being. Each chakra is associated with a specific frequency range, so music that targets these can help restore balance.

Rest and Digest, activate your parasympathetic nervous system to reduce stress

Resetting the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) to counteract stress is a powerful way to bring balance and calm to the body. The PNS is responsible for the “rest and digest” functions of the body, promoting relaxation, recovery, and a decrease in heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormone production. When you’re stressed, your sympathetic nervous system (SNS) — the “fight, freeze, fawn or flight” system — takes over, leading to increased tension, anxiety, and physical strain.

The good news is that you can engage the PNS through various techniques, including vibroacoustic therapy. Here’s how you can help reset your PNS to reduce stress:

1. Vibroacoustic Therapy

  • Low-Frequency Sound Vibrations: Listening to low-frequency vibrations (often in the range of 20-80 Hz) through a high-quality system or transducers can stimulate the PNS, helping to reduce the heightened alertness and tension associated with stress. This can activate a relaxation response in the body and reduce overall stress.
  • Binaural Beats and Theta Waves: Tracks designed with Theta waves (4-8 Hz) or Alpha waves (8-14 Hz) can help entrain brainwave activity to promote deep relaxation. Theta waves, in particular, are linked to deep meditative states, emotional healing, and reduced anxiety.
  • Nature Sounds + Harmonics: Using calming sounds like ocean waves, rainfall, or birdsong combined with harmonizing frequencies (such as Solfeggio frequencies) can have a grounding effect on the body, calming the nervous system and triggering a PNS response.

2. Breathing Exercises

  • Deep Belly Breathing (Diaphragmatic Breathing): Slow, deep breaths signal the body to enter a relaxed state, activating the PNS. A simple practice is the 4-7-8 technique: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds. This helps lower heart rate and calms the nervous system.
  • Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds. This method helps balance the PNS and SNS by promoting steady, rhythmic breathing.

3. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR)

  • This technique involves tensing and relaxing muscle groups throughout the body, helping to release tension. By doing so, you activate the PNS, as it encourages relaxation of both muscles and the nervous system.
  • Start from your toes and work your way up to your head, slowly tensing each muscle group for a few seconds and then releasing. This process can be deeply calming.

4. Mindfulness Meditation

  • Practicing mindfulness involves focusing your attention on the present moment, which helps disengage from stress triggers and activate the PNS. Mindfulness can be practiced anywhere: while sitting, lying down, or even walking.
  • Guided meditations that emphasize body scanning or breathing techniques can help reduce stress and restore balance to your nervous system.

5. Gentle Movement

  • Yoga or Tai Chi are practices that involve slow, intentional movements, deep breathing, and mindfulness. These activities are effective at activating the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing cortisol levels, and encouraging physical and mental relaxation.
  • Even simple stretching can help alleviate physical tension that comes with stress. Specially if done with a smile and try to find joy and delight from exploring your body and the way it moves..

6. Visualization

  • Visualizing calming imagery — like a peaceful beach in the tropical islands, a serene forest, or a calming sunset — can help reduce stress and activate the PNS. Pairing this with slow breathing can deepen the relaxation response.
  • You can practice guided visualization with audio recordings designed to lead you through calming mental imagery.

7. Massage or Acupressure

  • Massage therapy helps relax the muscles and stimulate the PNS by reducing physical tension. Techniques like shiatsu or acupressure focus on key pressure points that trigger relaxation responses in the body, balancing the autonomic nervous system.
  • Self-massage or gently massaging your hands, neck, or shoulders can be an effective stress reliever when done regularly.

8. Cold Water Exposure

  • A short cold water exposure, such as splashing cold water on your face or taking a cold shower, can activate the PNS by stimulating the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in regulating stress responses.
  • This technique should be done cautiously, especially if you’re not accustomed to cold exposure, and should be brief (about 15-30 seconds).

9. Aromatherapy

  • Essential oils like lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood have been shown to have calming effects on the body and can help stimulate the PNS. Diffusing these oils or applying them topically (diluted in a carrier oil) can bring about a state of relaxation and well-being.

10. Nature and Outdoor Time

  • Spending time in nature — even a short walk in the park or garden — can have a significant impact on resetting the nervous system. Nature has a grounding effect and helps reduce the overactivation of the SNS, allowing the PNS to take over and promote relaxation.

Why It Works

Resetting the parasympathetic nervous system is essential for counteracting the physical and emotional effects of chronic stress. When the PNS is activated, it helps slow the heart rate, reduce blood pressure, lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels, and promote digestion and recovery — all essential for restoring balance in a stressed body and mind.

I have had my first experience with Guy’s Vibroacoustic Therapy 3 days ago, and I am beyond excited about how profoundly healing it has been! I’ve tried many healing modalities and can say I have found nothing as thorough, restorative and effective as this.

We focused the session on improving sleep, tummy issues and emotional well-being whilst relaxing into the parasympathetic nervous system. During the session I felt the unique and comforting sensations of the vibrations through water gently softening tension and harmonising my body / mind on all levels… my busy thoughts gradually slowed… and I drifted into a very comfortable, relaxed, highly conscious state.

From this place I witnessed my mind and body effortlessly resolving areas of constriction, confusion, and deep habitual / fearful holding. Following this I became very present, open and connected to my senses, I felt completely content and energised… whilst also being the most relaxed I can ever recall being! I felt as though my energy was balanced, clear and vibrant. Just vibrantly being.

Coming back to a more normal waking state happened very naturally and gradually. I was filled with gratitude and positivity, and pure excitement for what I had just experienced! I feel that I am still benefiting from the Vibroacoustic Therapy 3 days later. My sleep and digestion have already improved, and I am feeling a greater sense of overall well-being. It’s as though my baseline has been elevated. I can’t wait to experience how this incredible healing therapy evolves, and could not be more grateful to have found it! Thank you Guy!
